El Burro is a casual burreria that serves authentic Mexican streetfood in the heart of Frogner, Oslo. At El Burro passion is the most important ingredient, and we bring you the beauty of Mexican flavours in every bite.
Chef Marysol from San Luis Potosí serves delicious burritos, tacos, quesadillas and salads. All made with fresh ingredients every single day, no exceptions (seriously, we don’t even have a freezer).
The word burrito means "little donkey" in Spanish. Legend has it that the name burrito as applied to the dish derives from the appearance of bedrolls and packs that donkeys carried. At El Burro we want to give something back to this cute little animal that gave us our name: So together with The Donkey Sanctuary we will give our customers the chance to adopt a donkey! By adopting a donkey you’ll guarantee its future with sanctuary, making sure it will never want for warmth, care og food again.
