Ringve Musikkmuseum er Norges nasjonale museum for musikk og musikkinstrumenter med en internasjonal samling. Ringve botaniske hage har et rikt plantemangfold med arter fra hele verden. Plantene er levende samlinger som er til glede for våre besøkende, samtidig som de er vitenskapelige samlinger som gir innsikt i jordas planteliv til vitebegjærlige i alle aldre.

Ringve har alltid hatt et internasjonalt fokus. Wesselfamiliens store sønn, Tordenskiold, reiste til sjøs som fjortenåring på 1700-tallet og russiske Victoria Bachke ble museets første direktør i 1952. I dag finnes instrumenter fra alle verdensdeler på Ringve.

In our New Building, you find temporary exhibitions and the Music Garden
– our digital archive, where you can immerse yourself in our collections or simply enjoy the view of the garden.

Ringve botanical garden has rich plant diversity - with species from all around the world. The plants are living collections for the enjoyment of our visitors as well as scientific collections that provide insight into Earth's plant life to inquisitive people of all ages.

Ringve has always had an international focus. The great son of the Wessel family, Tordenskiold, travelled to sea at the age of fourteen during the 1700s and the Russian women Victoria Bachke became the museum’s first director in 1952. Today, instruments from all continents can be found at Ringve.
