General information

Since the founding of OSO in 1932 as one of the first welding companies in Norway, OSO has been owned by the Braathen family. For 80 years, OSO has led the water heater development in Scandinavia. In 1970, OSO was the first in the world to mass-produce stainless steel water heaters.

The environmental work through more than 40 years has resulted in a highly efficient and automated production without any harmful emissions and with a minimum consumption of resources. OSO’s products have shown an unprecedented life cycle economy with an average life span of 25 years

OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing)

OSO delivers complete (direct electric or indirectly heated) products or inner tanks with built-in heating coils to some of the leading suppliers of alternative energy sources in the American and European market. Typical applications are boilers, air / ground source heat pumps or solar collectors.
Complete OEM products combine low heat loss, efficient heat transfer through OSO’s own stainless steel heating coils with the well-known OSO quality.
