Danish Dance Theater is the foremost contemporary dance company in Denmark, as well as the largest, composed of hand-picked dancers from all over the world. Since 2001, Tim Rushton (MBE) has been the company’s Artistic Director.

Siden 2001 har Tim Rushton (MBE) været kompagniets kunstneriske leder og har med succes videreført Dansk Danseteaters vision om at forene de klassiske kunstarter med de moderne.

Dansk Danseteater er i dag Danmarks største og kunstnerisk førende moderne dansekompagni, og er sammensat af håndplukkede dansere fra hele verden.

Repertoiret spænder fra store sceneproduktioner på Det Kongelige Teater, over open-air begivenheder som Copenhagen Summer Dance i Københavns Politigård og Louisiana Dance med moderne dans i Louisianas have, til turnéer bredt nationalt og internationalt.

Since 2001, Tim Rushton (MBE) has been the company’s Artistic Director and has successfully continued Danish Dance Theatre’s vision of combining the classical arts with the modern.

The repertoire spans from large stage productions at The Royal Danish Theatre, to open-air events such as Copenhagen Summer Dance in the Copenhagen Police Headquarters and Louisiana Dance in the garden of the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. Danish Dance Theatre also does an extensive amount of both national and international touring.
